In September of 1979, about a week or two after starting classes at NSCAD, (The Nova Scotia College of Art and Design), I came across a rather pricey Xerox machine used by the school's administration offices.
It was capable of making surprisingly impressive images with rich, black backgrounds.
One evening, when the administration offices were closed and the machine was "free", I spent some time creating a series of "self portraits".
Recently, while going through some old boxes in storage, I came across the manilla envelope with 25 of those old Xerox prints.
I include them here for your viewing pleasure.
Each image is 27.5cm x 20.5cm.
